should've put a ring on it. duh.

I've been watching arrested development all winter break. It's awesome.

Speaking of break, it's almost over. I don't know whether to rejoice or recoil at the thought of going back to Hartford. Depends on how things go, and there are so many things in the air, that being there will be kind of exciting I think. So I just decided that I want to go back, if for no reason other than to see how things turn out with people and how new friendships change. cool. haha.

I'm done here.

21 on saturday.

Lump Sum

The Wrestler was so good, but so depressing.

Reminded me of how alone I am.

Now I am bummed.

Noteworthy Films I Have Seen Recently

24 Hour Party People (2002)- Starring Steve Coogan.

Steve Coogan plays Tony Wilson, a television presenter who started a record label. It tells the story of Wilson as he presented artists from Manchester, England to the world. It tells the story of the creation and transformation of the band Joy Division, into the band New Order, and other popular artists in the post-punk Manchester music scene. Incredibly entertaining and informative movie. It hits close to home for me, since my parents came from like. 30 minutes away from Manchester.

The Last Romantic (2006)- Starring Adam Nee

I just watched this movie last night. It's a movie about a headstrong poet who moves to New York City to get his poems published, only to meet the hardships that await any starving artist trying to make it big. This poet's name is Calvin Wizzig, who is actually the author who wrote the story that this movie was based on. You follow him as he meets strange people, makes mistakes, and how much his point of view changes on the experience before, during and after he makes the journey. Genuinely entertaining, and the way the Nee Brothers introduce the supporting characters stories is pretty ingenious, not telling long stories, but kind of just throwing you into these peoples lives.

The Curious Case of Benjamin Button (2008)- Starring Brad Pitt
Photobucket

Everyone has heard of this movie by now, but people may be confused about it. Now this is a really strange cinematic experience. It tells the story of a baby who was born sort of backwards. He is born as a baby with wrinked skin and brittle bones, and as he grows up he physically grows down. He uses a walker at age 8 and goes from there. It's a love story but a really intriguing story that I would suggest to anyone. I just think it's a good experience. When you recall a biographical movie that you've seen, and you are trying to remember a certain part, you would usually go by the age the character is at the time, but with the aging backwards thing it kind of makes you think differently. It was a really good movie though.

That's it from me.
